Playing music: I Will Show You // Ailee
Hallo die Schikeria!

"I'm not talking about sex, I'm talking about kissing."
"I date them if I like them; if not, I dump them."
"Concern? No, I have none."

This is about three college girls that taken summer class and have been assign to do some task relating to sex and love. This web series consists of 12 episodes about 15 to 25 minutes for each episode. This channel also provides compilation of every episode in one video if you want to check that out. It's available on Playlist Global channel if you want to watch the series and I also going to leave the link of youtube playlist down below. My rate for this series would be 8.5/10.

How did I stumble upon this series?

Simple. Random scrolling on the playlist compiled by this channel and start to watch it out of boredom. In other words, I watch this series as a reason to procrastinate from doing my work that requires my attention (and the due date is near, makes me even more malas to finish my report. RIP to my report). Later as I watch more on the series, I got hooked and enjoy the series until finish.

Why do I like this series?

Because it gives me more insight into why it is important to have a good understanding of sex in general and emphasis more on sex education for each individual. This series shows about three college girls named Ah In, Ji Yoo, and Ha Young doing their assignment about sex and love and later found out that each of them has concerns related to the topic. Ah In who has no experience in a relationship, Ji Yoo leads her life into a casual relationship with many guys and Ha Young deals with STD and conflict rise between her boyfriend.

"Maybe we could write a paper about how outdated sex education is compared to how quickly teens mature."
"Are you going to a seminar or something?"

...

"Why did you sign up for this class, to begin with, if you'd be embarrassed by such a trivial thing?"
"Right. How about this? What if we focused on those taboos we have? 'Why is so difficult to talk about sex? How can we talk more comfortably?'"

Talking about sex, in general, is a pretty taboo thing, at least from what I know because we've been taught that sex is a private matter and you only legal to talk about it if you want to get married or so. I myself have that kind of midset before (and still is) but now, I keep myself more aware and occupied with more information about the topic. I realized that I should have equipped myself with such knowledge during my teenage years and I can't be ignorant about my own body and sexuality. Thankfully, I have people who are willingly want to teach me more about the topic and I'm making sure of myself to self-study more on sex education.

In a way, this series does help me understand more on the application of the sex education knowledge that has been obtained and it helps me understand why it is important for each individual to know at least basic things about sex. I myself do have some stereotype thinking that studying about sex means learn more about the process of making sex with your partner. Later as I study more, I found out that it is more than that. At first, I didn't understand that much of the fuss going on Twitter when issues relating to sex arise and some people have been advocate include sex education in our education system. When I learn about it myself, with the help of my partner-in-crime, I have better understanding of the issue and understand more why these people been advocating about it.

I can't say much about the topic given since I'm still in the learning phase, just that I want to encourage people more on getting more aware of the importance of sex education in our educating system and if you already an adult but still struggling yourself, don't be ashamed and learn more about it yourself. I admit to myself that as an adult, now I just started to learn about it myself and I have no regret in learning it more.

  1. I love this one too. At first I'm pretty shock about the theme lol but looking at how Playlist Global has been very loud to fight and advocate for such issues - I kinda understand. I am 24 this year, but sometimes I get embarrassed when I have to talk about this kind of thing, but then again its a part of education. First thing first is to get people talk about it without being shy, coz sex education is not about that one particular thing only :')

(and I love all the couples :'))

    1. True that. It's about time we should learn more and hoping that sex education would be part of our education syllabus.
